Technical Introduction

Introducing Pexgol?

Pexgol specialises in advanced piping solutions made from cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X). These pipes are known for their durability, flexibility, and resistance to extreme temperatures and chemical.

QI our Canadian partner and ownership group are an official distributor for Pexgol.

Pexgol pipes are widely used in various industries, including mining, oil & gas, aquaculture, and infrastructure. They are designed to handle harsh environments and demanding applications, such as transporting abrasive fluids, chemical agents, and even toxic materials. The pipes’ smooth internal surface reduces friction, leading to more efficient fluid transport and energy savings

What is PE-X

Cross-Linked Polyethylene (PE-X)

A versatile and durable material widely used in various industries due to its enhanced properties. PE-X is created through a cross-linking process that improves its thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength. Common applications of PE-X include plumbing and heating systems, hydronic radiant heating and cooling, domestic water piping, and insulation for high-voltage electrical cables. Its flexibility and resistance to high temperatures and pressures make it ideal for transporting hot water and chemicals in demanding environments.

PE-Xa, or cross-linked polyethylene type A, offers several advantages due to its unique cross-linking process using peroxide. Here are some key benefits:

  1. Exceptional Durability: PE-Xa pipes are highly resistant to thermal and mechanical stress, making them robust and long-lasting.
  2. Flexibility: These pipes can be easily bent and shaped without compromising their structural integrity, which simplifies installation, especially in tight or awkward spaces.
  3. Thermal Insulation: PE-Xa pipes have excellent insulating properties, reducing heat loss and improving energy efficiency in heating systems.
  4. Chemical and Corrosion Resistance: They are resistant to a wide range of chemicals and corrosive substances, making them suitable for various applications, including aggressive environments.
  5. High Temperature and Pressure Resistance: PE-Xa pipes can withstand high temperatures and pressures, making them ideal for hot water and heating systems.

These features make PE-Xa pipes a reliable choice for plumbing, heating, and other demanding applications.
